Iyabo my eldest Daughter Said I Would Die In Office – Olusegun Obasanjo

Olusegun Obasanjo who was the former President of Nigeria said that Iyabo, his eldest daughter told him he would die in office. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo revealed that his daughter said if that should happen, she would cry for him.

OBJ said he replied the his daughter that he her weeping or not would not mean anything to him since he would no more be there to thank her.

Obasanjo also talked about how he became the President in the year 1999, He said his mind was almost made up leave the position until he consulted his Four of children in New york.

He said he asked them whether to go into politics or not, Iyabo was the first to go against that idea, Iyabo shouted “I know you will join and if you die there i won’t weep for you”

In his words Obasanjo said “Everything turned out exactly opposite of what Iyabo said, Within the Ten years, Iyabo became a Senator and I finished 2 terms without any health conditions”

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo revealed this in his controversial book “MY WATCH”
He had the meeting with his children after consulting all the people that mattered.

Olusegun Obasanjo added that out of his four children who he spoke with, Only Segun encouraged him.
Obasanjo quoted his Son ” Daddy, you have always said that we should serve God and humanity, if this is the way you have chosen to serve God and humanity, I will continue to pray for you”


OBJ mentioned all the names of his twenty one children in his book, and added that 5 of them are PhD holders and also said the same Iyabo who made noise later became a very good Senator during his 2 term tenure.
